What would happen if politicians and partisan pundits dealt with facts instead of the usual propagandizing at which they are so proficient? Would voters appreciate serious examination of troubling issues absent emotional rhetoric and simplistic agendas?

What does it mean, after all to seek smaller government and less regulation and to celebrate American values which, according to “Freedom Works” chairman Dick Armey, are about “free markets,” and in general “freedom and liberty?”  Try to get an answer from him, though, about what a ‘new’ Republican Party inspired by the Tea Party movement would do about unemployment and the country’s fiscal malaise, and he just repeats his talking points – – the tautological approach so popular on the right
